BOWLS TOURNAMENT
Wellington Easter Rinks FIRST THREE ROUNDS In pleasant weather and on greens that played well the first three rounds of the Wellington Bowling Centres Laster rinks tournament were held yesterday. The only rinks not defeated during the dav were those skipped by Noad, Christensen, Pollock and McWhannell. 11l section C none of the teams have had three wins, and the section is headed by six with two win® each. Three further rounds of section play will be held today, and a further three on Monday. The conditions of play are different from the conditions of previous Easter tournaments in Wellington in that the games are of 18 heads each instead _ot 21, and post-section play will not immediately follow section play, but will be held next Saturday. Yesterday section A played at the Kelburn club’s green, section B at Karori, section 0 at Island Bay,, and section D at Victoria. To-day section A will play at the Wellington club’s green, section B at Seatoun, section C at Lyell Bay, and section D at Hataitai.
