FARM PRODUCTION
New German Plans Berlin, March 23. Elaborate plans designed to increase farm production were announced by the Minister of Aviation, General Goering, in a broadcast to which farmers throughout Germany listened. General Goering, who is in charge of the four-year self-sufficiency plan, said : "Henceforth we shall treat desertion of the land as an evasion of responsibility. The new measures are for the benefit of the nation, not the individual, and the chief provisions of the plan are, first, supersession of incompetent farmers by State-appointed managers, secondly, reduction of the price of fertilisers, and, thirdly, £16,000,000 to be devoted to farm improvements.”
