Professor on President’s Court Proposal
(Received March 24, 7.35 j.m.) Washington, March 23. Professor Raymond Moley, professor of public law at Columbia University, New York, in evidence before the Judiciary Committee of the Senate, condemned President Roosevelt’s Supreme Court reform proposals as following the easy path of expediency leading to the atrophy and death of democratic institutions.
A Constitutional amendment would achieve the President’s purpose, he added.
