TWO PARTIES
Mrs. Bruce Rennie Entertains Wearing a graceful hostess frock of duck-egg blue chiffen and lace with a sash of a deep maroon shade, Mrs. Bruce Rennie entertained a number of friends at afternoon tea at her home in Karori both yesterday and on Tuesday. The guests gathered first in the charming sitting-room, which had vases of apricot-coloured dahlias on the little occasional tables in effective contrast to the cream walls and the ice blue curtains and lacquered furniture. The dining-room, where tea was served, had red flowers for decoration, to match the cherry red of the carpet, and upholstery. The beautiful inlaid table was set with a variety of tempting sweet and savoury accompaniments for the tea, and had red candles in tall silver candlesticks placed on it In artistic harmony.
