FIRE AT TE ARAROA
Cup Given by Lord Blcdisloe Lost By Telegraph—Press Association. Gisborne, March 24. Fire destroyed the Te Araroa branch of the Waiapu Farmers’ 'Trading Company hist night, the losses including Hie Ahuwhenua Cup, presented by Lord Bledisloe, and won in 1936 by Mr. Henry Dewes. and entrusted to Hie management for safe keeping. The manager, Mr. Pepere, made repeated efforts to enter the burning building in an effort to recover Hie itrophy.
