TRUCK LICENCES
Public Works Contracts

All trucks used on public works jobs, with the exception of those owned by the department, will in future come under tlie control of transport licensing authorities, according to a statement this morning by Mr. E. J. Phelan, of the No. 1 Transport Authority. He said that the department would arrange no contracts unless the contractor had a licence. Considerable dissatisfaction had been caused in the past on this score.
