SINKING SCHOONER
Complement Rescued By American Destroyer (Received March 17, 11.5 p.m.) Washington, March 16. The eight people on board the sinking British schooner Avon Queen, captained by her owner, Mr. Robert McLean, were rescued at San Salvador Island by the United States destroyer Fairfax.
