Tokio, February 25
Five English women missionaries at Higashikozu village, near Osaka, who were sheltering two girls who escaped from a disorderly house, were attacked by the proprietor of the house and three other men armed with sticks, who were attempting to recapture the girls. They boat thp two missionaries unconscious. The police arrested two of the attackers.
