MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP

Registration Board Offer The Music Teachers’ Registration Board has decided to offer a scholarship biennially, of £lO/10/-, tenable for two years, to registered teachers of music or to their pupils, who are desirous of taking a university degree of music. A scholarship will be offered at any centre having a department of music at its university: and the award will be known as “The Robert Parker Scholarship, donated by the Music Teachers’ Registration Board.” The conditions of award have yet to be drawn up, and the offer will then be made to the University Senate. The title is intended to form a permanent testimony to the life work, in the interests of music in New Zealand, of Mr. Robert Parker, C.M.G., who has been chairman of the board since its inception.
