TEMPERANCE UNION
Meeting in Wellington The president, Miss Kirk, was in the chair at the first meeting for this year of the "Wellington Women’s Christian Temperance Union, at which the devotions were led by Mrs. MurIt was resolved that a letter of good cheer be sent to Mrs. Hiett, the Dominion president. It was announced that the hospital auxiliary visiting days would be the first two weeks in March. A vote of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the late Miss Lee. As the meeting was held on "Frances Willard Day,” the president gave a brief address on her life work as founder of the W.C.T.U., and her tact and love in dealing with other people. A good collection was taken up for the World’s Missionary Fund.
The delegate elected to attend convention next month was Mrs. 11. Chisholm.
The superintendents were elected ns follows: Evangelistic. Mrs. Murray; Press, Mrs. A. IV. Rowe; scientific temperance, Mrs. Mowlem; white ribbon, Mrs. Perry; cradle roll. Sister Winifred; hospital auxiliary, Mrs. Harris; sick visitor, Mrs. Porte; tea committee, Mesdames Casely, Janies and Haylock.
