TO SEE CORONATION
Passengers in Tainui Virtually the first of the vessels taking passengers to England for the coronation on Maj’ 12, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company’s Tainui was due to leave Wellington at daybreak this morning. She has a full complement of passengers, 162 in all. and expects to make the passage in 38 days, arriving at Southampton on March 16. 'Among the passengers are the Hon. J. A. Hanan, M.L.C., a member of the Empire delegation to the coronation, and Mrs. Hanan. There was quite a rush some months ago to hook .passages on ships arriving at London in time for the coronation. Actually, the first booking for the present passage was made almost a year ago, on February 28, 1936. It often happens that such early reservations are cancelled, but in the present case, the woman who made the first booking is making the trip. Fourteen of the passengers are disembarking at the Panama Canal, and ten of this number are going to the United States. Some of tlie passengers travelling via America were originally to have sailed with the Matson Line.
