The Right to Speak for New Zealand

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In your issue of to-day’s date I notice a letter in which the writer questions the right of Mr. Savage to speak for the people of the Dominion. As the Prime. Minister, Air. Savage is the proper person to do so, whereas your correspondent who “has made it his business” to interview a large number of people has not the very faintest claim to assume that he speaks for “half the population of this country.” —•I am, etc., ENGLISH. Palmerston North,. December 7.
