Although the weather lias been far from favourable during the past mouth, the Pobutukawas in sheltered places arc already in bloom, which is about a fortnight earlier titan is usual. One tree in the reserve opposite the Grand Opera House is in full bloom, and its bright red blossoms were a reminder Io many yesterday of how near we are to Christinas.
