GIRL INJURED
Knocked From Bicycle on Hutt Road Miss Ella , Wyatt, a 17-year-old girl residing at Cottles Lane. Taita, was admitted to tbe Wellington Public Hospital last night witli fairly severe head injuries and body bruises, received when she was knocked from, her bicycle on the main Hutt Road at Taita, jiist north of Park Avenue, by a.motorear driven by Mr. Hugh W. Monkhouse, radio mechanic, Wi Tako Street, Lower Hutt. The accident occurred shortly before eight o’clock last evening. Both the cyclist and motorist were travelling in a northerly direction, and while Mr. Monkhouse was passing Miss Wyatt the left-hand front mudguard of his car caught the bicycle, and the rider was thrown heavily to the ground. She was rendered unconscious and taken to the Wellington hospital by a passing motorist. The hospital authorities stated early this morning that Miss Wyatt’s condition was slightly improved.
