The attendance at the Royal Show was considerable to-day aud as the weather promises to be flue to-morrow record crowds are expected for People’s Day. The show was officially opened today by the Governor-General, Lord Galway. The following championships were awarded : Pony, not over 13 hands, Miss C Wright’s Sheik; pony, not over 13.2 hands, 11. S. S. Kyle’s Firebug; cob, not over 15 hands, J. S. Lilley’s Fairearm; dog cart horse, 15.2 hands or over, T. H. Ivey’s Dan.
