LUNCHEON PARTY

Mrs. Basil Hurtman was hostess at a luncheon party held at her home in Wadestown yesterday to bid farewell to Mrs. Walter Orebaugh, wife of the Consul for the U.S.A., who left Wellington last night for Auckland, en route to America, and to welcome Mrs. Horace Miller, who has just returned from a holiday visit to the United States. Mrs. Hartman received her guests wearing a smart hostess frock of brown taffeta, with pleated frills at the neck and cuffs. A buffet luncheon was served in the dining-room, which, as were the other rooms, was artistically decorated with rhododendrons and pink and mauve lupins. Those present were: Mrs, G. A.
