Yule—Viles Kathlyn, eldest doughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Viles, Featherston, made a very charming bride on Wednesday evening when she was married to Fredrick Charles, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. F. 0. Yule, Featherston. The ceremony took place in the Featherston Presbyterian Church, and was performed by Rev. J. A. Asher, Wellington, an old friend of the bridegroom’s family, assisted by the Rev. R. S. Keenan, Featherston. The church was beautifully decorated by Miss Zena Tutbury and Mrs. Keenan presided at the organ.

The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. J. S. Viles, wore a gown of mariette cut on classical lines, panelled with exquisite lace and finished with a short train. Iler long tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of arum lilies and lily-of-the-valley. Miss Nance Viles, sister of the bride, and Miss Margret Morris, Carterton, were bridesmaids, dressed alike in lettuce green lace) with head-bands of gold flowers. They carried sheafs of gold arum lilies. .Mr. Gordon Coleman, Martinborough, was best man, and Mr. B. G. Watson, Featherston, was groomsman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe by Miss Jean Tutbury.

A reception was hold at the Empire Hotel, where Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Viles, assisted by Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Yule, sen., received the guests. The bride’s mother wore a nigger brown ensemble, with hat to tone, and carried a posy of apricot roses and maidenhair fern. Mrs. Yule wore a navy-blue ensemble with navy hat and carried a posy of red roses and maidenhair fern. The four-tiered wedding cake had been made and presented by a friend of the bridegroom, Mr. 11. Murdoch, Napier. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Yule left for a motor tour of the North Island, the bride wearing a smart tweed ensemble with a brown and green hat. Their future home will be at Townsley—Thomson The wedding was solemnised at St. John's Church, Wellington, recently, when Nancy Winifred, only daughter of Mrs. R. M. Thomson, Kelburn Parade, was married to James Oliver, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Townsley, Maheuo, North Otago. The Rev. A. B. Kilroy officiated.

The church was artistically decorateod by an aunt of the bride, dainty posies being attached to the seat ends and oriental poppies brightening the aisles. Masses of white rhododendrons, together with bowls of blue and yellow irises, toned with the dresses of the bride and matron of honour, the former wearing one of the new afternoon “coat and frock” ensembles of blue pleated crepe mercele and a picture hat to match. Mrs. Gilbert Mills (Nelson), the matron of honour, was in a pale corn yellow ensemble and hat to tone. Both carried matching bouquets.

The best man was Mr. J. M. Townsley, brother of the bridegroom, and the bride was escorted by her brother, Mr. N. M. Thomson, Levin. After the wedding a reception was held at the Empire Hotel, where relatives and intimate friends from both the North and South Islands were enterained. Mrs. R. Thomson and her son received the guests.

When Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Townsley left, the latter was wearing a bottlegreen costume with brown accessories and matching coat.
