Wellington Dealings Active WOOLWORTHS STRONGER Trading was very brisk on. the Wellington Stock Exchange yesterday, and the turnover was in excess of the high level of recent weeks. Thirty-six sales were recorded, covering in addition to Government stocks, about 5000 shares. No. very marked changes were seen except m the case of Ednients, Ltd., which eased sharply from 58/- to 52/2. The Woolworths issues were all very firm, and showed further gains. The New Zealand shares were done at £6/8/3 to £6/9/3 late on Wednesday, and yesterday buyers were offering £6/14/- and sellers held for £7/4/-. The Sydney issue sold at up to £6/17/6. and the West Australians advanced to £6/15/3.
