A partial settlement was reached in Conciliation Council yesterday morning in the dispute between the Wellington Ice Cream and Related Trades Union and the New Zealand Ice Cream Manufacturers’ Union and others. Reardon, conciliation commissioner, presided. , 'Phe clauses relating to the rates ot pay for adult workers, the rates of pay for men engaged on special work and the payment of youths were all referred to the Arbitration Court for settlement. One week's holiday on full pay is to be allowed to workers after one complete year of service.
