NEW TIME SYSTEM
Electric Clocks For Hospital
Orders have been placed by the Wellington Hospital Board .for the installation of electric clocks throughout the hospital. The time for the whole installation will be controlled by a master clock, the other clocks being connected by an electric system. With this installation there will be a uniform time throughout the hospital, which will replace the antiquated system of individual clocks, few of which seem to keep the same time. When it is realised that meals have to be prepared for approximately 900 people, and that those people have to be released at fixed times for their meals, it will be appreciated how necessary is it to have a synchronised time system. The nursing staff have half an hour for meals, and any delay in leaving the wards because of incorrect time has an effect on the routine.
