The central and north coast portions Of New South Wales to-day experienced a most severe gale of brief duration. ■ A house near Mullumblmby was blown to pieces and three persons were injured. Two yother houses were badly damaged. Considerable damage was done to property at Lismore and adjoining towns. Roofs and verandas were lifted as though they were paper and carried long distances. Several people were given first-aid treatment Dairy herds were panic stricken. ,
