Vice-Regal. His Excellency the Governor-General, Lord Galway, attended the luncheon given by the directors of the Union Steam Ship Company on board the Awatea yesterday. Last night their Excellencies attended the Wellington Harmonic Society’s concert. Sir Robert Anderson arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Invercargill. and left for Auckland and Sydney at night by the Awatea. The Ven. E. N. Sharpe, Archdeacon of London, who has been in New Zealand for the past few weeks, left Wellington for Sydney by the Awatea last night. Mr N. S. Falla, managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company, left Wellington by the Awatea last night for Australia. Mr. G. H. Norman left Wellington for the north yesterday. Mr. D. A. Ewen travelled south last night from Wellington. Mr. E. J. Hocking, Wellington, left for Auckland by the Awatea last night. Mr. C. Morris was a passenger by th e Awatea for Auckland last night. Mr. H. Lightband, Christchurch, left Wellington last night by the Awatea. Mr. R. Caughley arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from the south, Mr. D. Moncur left Wellington for Auckland last night by the Awatea. Mr. W. A. Flavell, Dunedin, arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday.

Mr. C. Ogilvie arrived at Wellington yesterday morning from Christchurch.

Mr. W. M. Luke was a passenger for the north last night from Wellington.

Mr. K. M. Sleight arrived at Wellington from the south yesterday morning. Dr. W. H. Bull left .Wellington last night to spend a few days in Auckland.

Mr. Godfrey Magnus was a passenger by the Awat’eg which left Wellington last night. Mr. Noel Manthell left Wellington for Auckland last night by the Awatea.

Dr. B. Dudley, Lower Hutt, left Wellington by the Awatea last night for Auckland.

Mr. E. Caradus was a passenger for the South Island last night from Wellington.

Mr. W. G. Morpeth is a passenger from Wellington for Auckland by the Awatea.

Mr. E. Nicholls, a member of the staff of the Public Trust Office, at Dunedin, has left for Napier, on transfer. Mr. R. H. Nesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner, left Wellington for Auckland last night by the Awatea. Mr. C. W. Rattray, Dunedin, who has been visiting Wellington, loft on his return to the south last night. Mr. F. J. Earle, editor of the “Nelson* Evening Mail,” arrived from Nelson yesterday. ' The Rev. W. Allen left Wellington by the Maunganui yesterday for Sydney.

Mr. G. R. Ritchie, Dunedin, a director of the Union Steam Ship Company accompanied by Mrs. Ritchie and Miss E. Ritchie and Miss M. Birch, left Wellington by the Awatea last night for Auckland. Mr. C. G. White, a director of the Union Steam Ship Company, accompanied by Mrs. White and Miss P White, left Wellington by the Awatea last night for Auckland and Sydney. Professor T. JI. Laby, Melbourne, accompanied by Mrs. Laby and the Misses B. and J. Laby, was a passenger by the Awatea which left Wellington last night for Auckland and Sydney. Mr. C. Clabburn, managing director of Makower, Mcßeath and Co., Ltd accompanied by Mrs. Clabburn, will leave at an early date for California, and will be absent from Wellington until March of next year. Mr. Claude Kingston, concert director for J. and N. Tait and J C. Wil liamson, Ltd., will arrive at Wellington from Australia via Auckland this morn ing to complete arrangements for the visit of Richard Crooks, the celebrated tenor.
