FISHERIES RESEARCH
Australian Appointment (Received September 16. 12.55 a.m.) Sydney, September 15. The Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, has announced that Dr. Harold Thompson, Director of Fisheries in Newfound-, kind, has teen appointed for five years to take charge of a Commonwealth fisheries investigation. Dr. Thompson, whose salary will lie £lOOO a year, will arrive in Australia at the end of January.
