AUSTRALIA TO BUILD NEW DESTROYER
Work at Cockatoo Dockyard (Received September 16, 12.55 a.m.) '. K . Sydney, September 15. The Minister of Defence, Sir Archdale Parkhill, has announced that the Commonwealth Government will build a large destroyer comparable with a light cruiser in effectiveness at a cost of £BOO,OOO, construction to lie carried out at the Cockatoo Dockyard, Sydney.
