A MUSICAL AFTERNOON
A particularly pleasant afternoon was spent yesterday, when Mrs. G. A. Bucklin gathered a number of her friends together at her home, Rawhiti Terrace, for music and tea. Mrs. Bucklin received in a smart gown of blackberry crepe satin. The drawing-room was decorated with japonica, daffodils and grape hyacinths, in pleasant blending with the blue and gold of the furnishings, and here the guests listened to the vocal ad inst.rumetal items with great enjoyment. Tea was served in the dining-room, and here the table was decorated with mixed flowers in bowls, a silver candelabra alight with candles holding pride of place, while cheery fires added to the atmosphere of Informality and added to the pleasure of the afternoon.
