INCREASING TOTALS
Operations of Placement Scheme A further increase of 661 in the number of men placed in employment through the operation of the Labour Department’s placement scheme is shown by the figures for the week ended last Saturday. Placements now total 6758, of which more than half have resulted in permanent employment. ' ■ Details of the operations of the scheme since its inception are as follows :—
