Mrs. Norman Ratcliffe, Palmerston North, is visiting Wellington. Miss B. M. Cummins, Wanganui, who has been spending a short holiday in Wellington, has returned home. Miss Betty Montgomerie has returned to her home at St. John’s Hill, Wanganui, from Wellington.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Sherwood, Childers Road; Gisborne, are visiting Wellington.

Miss Janet Timbs, Christchurch, will leave Wellington to-morrow for Sydney. Mrs. W. A. Armour and the Misses Armour, who have been visiting Napier, returned to Wellington on Saturday. Mrs. A. M. Plimmer and Miss Mary K. Plimmer, Wellington, who have just returned from a trip to England, are staying at the Midland Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Ritchie. Dunedin, accompanied by Miss E. Ritchie, arrived at Wellington from the south on Saturday morning. ' Mrs. Frank Pope and Miss Valerie Pope, Auckland, who have been visit-, ing Mrs. Popes’ mother, Mrs. I. J. Rothschild, the Terrace, have left Wellington for the north, via the Chateau.

The Misses Margaret Freeman and Durie Maysmor, Kelburn, have returned to Wellington from Auckland, where they have been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. W. Adair.

Miss Frances Waldegrave, who has been paying a round of visits in Wellington and is at present the guest of Mrs. R. Caughley, Mariri ■ Road, Kelburn, will return to Raetihi early'this week.

Miss Maud Stringer, Christchurch, accompanied by her father, Mr. T. A. Stringer, will arrive at Wellington tomorrow morning to connect with the Awatea for a visit to friends and relations in New South Wales and Queensland.
