MAREO MURDER CASE
Cabinet Ministers Receive Judge’s Report The fate of Eric Mareo, the Auckland musician, who was convicted and sentenced to death for the murder of his wife, has yet to be considered by the Executive Council. Ministers of the Crown have received copies of the trial judge’s report and other documents of the case.
The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, said on Saturday that after Ministers had individually perused, the documents Cabinet would consider the matter.
