Arab Terrorism. Arab terrorism has flared up again throughout Palestine, and seven Jews were killed in 24 hours. » ♦ • Death Sentence Commuted. The death sentence on Michael Conway, who was found guilty by an Irish Free State military tribunal of murdering John Egan, at Dungarvan, on April 26, has been commuted. * * * Sex of Unborn Children. After 12 years of experiments Soviet scientists claim that the sex of an unborn child can be foretold by blood analysis. Three thousand tests were 95 per cent, accurate. e • ♦

Quadruplets in India. Quadruplets, all girls, were born at Chinhat, a Lucknow cable states. Though the birth was premature owiug to a thunderstorm, all are of normal weight and are doing welL The Oxford Group.

Whale Causes Diver’s Death. Mr. K. Sakai, head diver of Gregory and Company’s pearling fleet, lost his life when below water near Broome. His airpipe was fouled by a whale and torn (Tut at the coupling iu the diving helmet, thus allowing water to enter his diving dress. Sakai was dead when hauled aboard. This is the first fatality caused by a whale among the Broome pearling fleet.
