JAPANESE SHIPPING
Plan For Improvement
(Received July 26, 6.30 p.m.) Tokio, July 25. The Government is drawing up a plan to improve Japanese shipping, estimated to cost £600,000 a year. It includes a subsidy for tramp shipping, the development of new routes and the construction of freighters with a speed of 20 knots for defence and commercial purposes.
