Membership' Doubled The feat of having more than doubled its membership in four months has been achieved by the Hutt Valley branch ot the Returned Soldiers’ Association. At the quarterly meeting on Saturday evening the secretary, Mr. S 5. Msaid that the membership was now -o-, of which 130 had joined since April 1. The chairman, Mr. A. E.. Fattinsou, said that they aimed at gaming a membership of 400, and he appealed tor the names of ex-servicemen who could be apiroached with a view to tueir becoming members. The larger the membership the more valuable the association would become to returned men, he said, lie benevolent committee had received bl applications since April 1, and had expended £O2/14/-, and was anxious to heai of any necessitous cases, lhe eiuplOj meat committee was also actively engagec in getting men back into their employ“coionel C.
