The annual steeplechase meeting of the South Canterbury Hunt Cilub will be held on the Timaru racecourse to-morrow. The track is likely to be soft after two days’ light rain, and on this account Punchestown and Concertpitch are not likely to be produced. The two-dividend system will be in use. The following horses are likely to be well-supported: — Hadlow Hurdles: Look Smart and Redolent. Pareora Steeplechase: Burglar and Royston. South Canterbury Steeplechase: Dunmtire and Velvet.
