KILBIRNIE KINEMA
“China Seas,” a tempestuous story starring Clark Gable, Wallace Beery, and Jean Harlow, is the first feature on the new programme at the Kilbirnie Kinema. The plot deals with fierce loves, bitter hates, and dangerous intrigues, and is played against a background of tropical hurricanes and pirate raids. To that legion of theatregoers who have registered their preference for simple comedies of “just plain folks,” the second feature, “Her Master’s Voice,” with Edward Everett Horton, Peggy Conklin, Laura Hope Crews, and Elizabeth Patterson, should make a big appeal.
