Wellington v. Master ton
Masterton, July 23.
Pupils of the Wellington Technical College and the Masterton Technical School were engaged in sporting rivalry in Masterton to-day. In a Rugby match the Wellington boys won 8-6. The Masterton girls beat the visitors’ B team at basketball by 16-6. The Rugby was very keenly contested and, although Wellington, who were bigger than their opponents, were superior in the first spell, Masterton held the upper hand in the second half, anil on a number of times were on the point of scoring.
