DRUIDS’ LODGE MEETINGS
There was a large attendance of members at the recent fortnightly meeting of Excelsior Lodge No. 11, Arch Druid Bro. Sleep presiding. The bards reported on sick members, and sick pay amounting to £34/9/4 was passed for payment. The secretary gave a detailed report ot the activities of the U.F.S. Dispensary Board. Visitors from Island bay and Coronation lodges were welcomed. After the lodge had closed, a bowls match for the Laughton buttons was played, Excelsior (holders) defeating Coronation (challengers) in a keen game. Pride of Brooklyn. The Arch Druid, Bro. A. J. Giddens, presided over a good attendancei of members at the Pride of Brooklyn Lodge. One candidate was initiated. The baids reported on the sick members, and sick pay was passed for payment. The lodge adjourned to hold a social and dance, aorwhich the district president. Bro. H. J ”Willis, assisted by P-A. Bro. Renkin as master of ceremony, Presented a 1 arch collar and diploma to Bro. J. D. Mead for having successfully passed through the ohflirs of the lodge*
