ARRESTED AT SYDNEY
Charged with Burglary at New Plymouth By Telegraph—Press Association. New Plymouth, July 23. William Ernest Hewins, who was arrested In Sydney and subsequently charged with breaking and entering the premises of Lawrence Hedges jeweller, at New Plymouth, on May 28 and stealing Jewellery valued at £333. was brought from Sydney undei escort by Detective P. Kearney and reached New Plymouth last night. The accused appeared before Mr. W H. Woodward. S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, when, on the appli eation of Detective Kearney, a remand was granted till Wednesday next. No application was made for bail.
