Citizen’s Gift to Napier By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, July 23. Through the munificence of a well known Napier citizen, Mr. T. Parker. Napier will shortly be provided with a handsome addition to the scheme of improvements under which the Marine Parade and foreshore are being developed. The Mayor (Mr. C. O. Morse) has accepted the gift. £lOOO. on behalf of the citizens. It is for the installation of an electric fountain, the largest In New Zealand, and one of a few to be found in the world. The site is near the northern end of the garden area.
