Suggested Restriction of Daily Offerings The possibility of improving the arrangement of wool sales by limiting catalogues to a maximum of approximately 8000 bales a day, the selling days to be extended accordingly, was referred to in the annual report of the New Zealand Sheepowners and Farmers’ Federation. The executive had been requested to discuss the matter with the Woolbrokers’ Association and the wool-buyers, the report stated, and would be kept in view pending further discussion on the arrival of buyers before next season’s sales. The opinion had been expressed by several buyers’ representatives that substantial increases in cost would result and the costs from the brokers’ point of view would also be much greater. The general opinion so far expressed was that the benefits resulting from the change would be more than offset by many disadvantages
