Auckland, June 22,
The Sunshine Express between Brisbane and Sydney is the latest thing in train comfort, according to Mr. H. W. Brodie,. overseas passenger manager for the Canadian Pacific Railways, who is returning to Canada by the Aorangi. Mr. Brodie said that the modern expresses which had been placed on the lines between Melbourne and Sydney were also most up to date, airconditioned carriages providing an even temperature. The new terminus for electric, suburban train traffic at Wynyafd, Sydney, compared favourably .with anything he had seen, while at Flinders * Street Station, Melbourne, 2100 trains were handled daily.
Heavy bookings to England were assured from Australia and the Dorninion next year, principally /on account, of the coronation. ’
