Butter Quiet at 106/-

The London butter market was very much quieter last week, prices for New Zealand receding about 5/- a cwt. to 106,to 107/-. The New Zealand retail price is now 1/1 a lb., with Danish at 1/2. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week totalled 1550 tons, compared with 1052 tons for the previous week, and 1447 tons a year ago. Australian deliveries were 1135 tons, against 1377 tons a year ago. New Zealand butter in store now totals 5221 tons, including .1390 tons ex Hie Rangitane, compared with 4800 tons for the previous week, and 6175 tons a year ago.
