“The Circassians” and Band at St. James Theatre

The entertainment recently presented by the band of the Ist Battalion, the Wellington Regiment, attracted a full bouse, and to-morrow evening’, in celebration of his Majesty King Edward’s birthday, an entertainment oiit of the ordinary has been arranged. Items appropriate to the occasion will be included, and the officers of the regiment have notified their intention to be present. In addition to the full military band, “The Circassians," a troupe of 80 men and women in picturesque costume, are to take part. Two special features for to-morrow evening will be “The Angelas” and “The Soldiers’ Chorus.” by -‘The Circassians.” with the hand. The Regimental Dance Band, which scored a gren‘ success a few weeks back, will play up-to-date melodies, and the full military band has bright marches and selections in readiness. The scarlet-coated bandsmen and the colourful costumes of "The Cir cassians,” with special lighting effects, should make a brilliant stage display.
