ST. GEORGE SKATING RINK

Opening' To-morrow Evening

For the first winter for many years Wellington has so far been without a roller-skating rink, and for that reason skating enthusiasts will be particularly interested in the opening of the St. George rink to-morrow evening. Attendances in past seasons have left no doubt as to the popularity of this exhilarating pastime, from which everyone, from the veriest beginner to the accomplished performer, can obtain unlimited enjoyment and fun. The central situation of the new rink—in the St. George Hotel building, ’Willis Street —is a further point in its favour, especially as regards the luncheon sessions, which have always been popular. Both male and female instructors will be in attendance, and the floor manager will be Mr. Stanley (“Scottie”) Smith, a champion skater and a well-known and popular figure on Wellington rinks for many years. There will be five sessions daily.
