A DINNER PARTY
Mr. aud Mrs. E. I’alliser gave a delightful dinner party at the Hotel St. George recently to celebrate the coming of age of their son Ernest. The table was beautifully decorated with chrysanthemums, holly berries and trails of berries, a further touch of colour being added by red aud flame candles. During the <l lnuCl ’. a toast to the guest of honour was proposed by Mr. E. A. Batt. Following the dinner, a theatre and a cabaret party were held.
The guests were Mrs. F. I’alliser, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Batt. Miss C. I’alliser, Miss G. Redmond, Miss L. O’Brian, Miss A. Mottram. Miss J. Peachey, Miss J. Stratford, Messrs., H. Ashby, N. Morgan, L. Cording. I’. Bullot.
The following names arc to be added to the committee set up in Wellington in connection with acquiring a picture of Queen Mary for the National Art Gallery:—Mrs. T. B. Strong and Miss Agnes Boyd (secretary).
