In a Davis Cup semi-final of the European zone, Germany eliminated Ireland by three matches to nil. Von Crarnm defeated Rogers, 6-1. 6-2. 6-3; Henkel defeated McVeagh. 6-1, 8-6, 6-2; and Von Cramm and Henkel defeated Rogers and McVeagh, 6-0. 6-1. 6-4. YUGOSLAVIA v. AUSTRIA (Received June 1.4, 6.30 p.m.) Vienna, June 13. In a semi-final contest in the European zone of the Davis Cup series Yugoslavia is leading Austria by two matches to nil. Puncec (Yugoslavia) defeated von Metaxa (Austria). 6-4. 6-3. G-l: Pallada (Yugoslavia) defeated Bawarowski (Austria). 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5. TUCKEY INJURED (Received June 14, 7.30 p.m.) London, June 13. While practising the Davis Cup player, C. R. D. Tuckey fell, injuring bls right ankle. It may prevent his playing at Wimbledon.
