SERIOUS DOCK FIRE
Damage at Southampton
(British Official Wireless.) Rugby, June 6.
A serious fire which occurred at Southampton Docks yesterday destroyed the accommodation provided there by the Southern Railway for dealing with the trade in bananas, of which 2,345,992 bunches were handled last year. Between 60 and 70 railway wagons specially equipped for dealing with banana imports were destroyed.
