Officers Elected at Annual General Meeting The seventeenth annual general meeting of Hie Wellington Caledonian Society was held on Wednesday night, when the report and balnnce-isheet wer received and approved and officers elected for lhe coming year, Mr. G. Lauchlan, who was re-elected chief for the fourth consecutive year, presided. He paid tribute to the secretary. Mr. M. Gray Nasmith, on whom a great deal of onerous work devolved, and to whom lie thought the society owed a debt of gratitude, and to the treasurer. Mr. W. A. Baudinet. Both were re-elected to their positions. A vote of thanks was accorded to the pipe-major, Mr. W. Frazer, for (he number of years of service he had devoted to the band. “I think services such as he has rendered the society deserve to be placed cyl record." said Mr. Lauchlan.
