Examiner For North Island The Board of Trinity College of Music. London, announces Mr. C. Egerton Lowe, F.T.C.L., as examiner for the college this year in practical subjects, pianoforte, organ, violin, singing, elocution, ensemble playing, etc., for the North Island. ■Mr. Egerton Lowe received his musical education in London and Leipzig, the pianoforte and violin being bis principal subjects. lie has had a very wide teaching connection in and around London, amt has made a speciality of preparation for public examinations. He is a well-known lecturer and writer on musical subjects, and an adjudicator at important British and South African musical festivals. _ lie was adjudicator in 1935 for the British Columbia Elocution Festival, and has adjudicated at the South African elocution festivals. His published works include a Primer on Harmonics; Hints to Young Violinists; A Chronological Cyclopedia of Music; the History. Analysis and Rendering of Beethoven’s Sonatas; Word-Phrases to Bach's Fugues, with hints on their rendering; The Art of Pianoforte Practising: Cyclopedic Handbook for Elocution Students. Mr. Egerton Lowe is due in Wellington by the Makura about June 22.
