DEATH OF W. M. O’HARA
Verdict at Inquest (Received May 27, 9.10 p.m.) Sydney, May 27. At the inquest concerning the death of the New Zealand aviator, W M. O'Hara, who was killed in a crash on Sunday, the coroner found that O'Hara died from injuries accidentally received when bis aeroplane crashed. Eye-witnesses stated that the aeroplane seemed to falter and wobble before crashing. The council of the Returned Soldiers and Sailors’ League passed a resolution expressing deepest sympathy with the relatives of O’Hara, the resolution to be transmitted to the relatives in New Zealand, also to the Waikato branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, of which O'Hara was a life member. A NATIONAL LOSS Reference to the toss that New Zealand anil the Empire had suffered in the tragic death of the New Zealand aviator. Mr. W. M O'Hara, was made by Lieut.Colonel C. 11 Weston at the weekly luncheon of the Wellington Returned So.-.tii'i-s' Association yesterday. Colonel Weston said that Mr. O'Hara was an outstanding aviator, whom the Empire could ill afford to lose. Members stood in silence as a tribute to the aviators memory.
