CAR OUT OF CONTROL
Veranda Posts Broken: Child Knocked Over Dominion Special Service. Masterton, May 19. Considerable commotion was caused in Queen Street, Masterton, this afternoon when a high-powered motor-car which had been started while in reverse gear shot over the footpath and came to rest against the Regent Theatre. In its sudden dash it broke two veranda posts and damaged three bicycles which it ran over. An 11-year-oltl child, Molly Passpe, who was walking on the footpath, was knocked over and suffered a cut on the head. She was taken to a doctor, but the injury is not serious. The driver of the car was Mrs. McLachlan, of Opaki, Masterton.
