WIFE-BEATER AT 107
Aged 107, according to the police, Mr. Keild S. Barber was taken to the police station at Taunton. Massachusetts, for examination, after bis wife —5O years his junior—had complained to a policeman that he beat her.
No action was taken on the complaint of wife-beating, but Mr. Barber was removed to the State hospital for observation because a police doctor declared be was “suffering from illusions.”
Some doubt exists as to Mr. Barber’s exact age. The police doctor stated he was “over 100.” The police said lie was 107. The local list of voters made him 101-and Mr. Barber himself ventured mt opinion.
